I used AI to help write a presentation and didn’t announce it. Is that dishonest?

I used an AI writing tool to brainstorm an outline and improve the wording of a work presentation. I checked the facts, rewrote the suggestions, and created the final slides myself.

A coworker found out and said I should have disclosed it when people praised the presentation. Our workplace doesn’t have an AI policy, and I didn’t put any confidential information into the tool.

Should AI assistance always be credited, or is this more like using a spelling or editing tool?
